So I finally have brought a wacom tablet, so excited.  Ive been playing with it for the latter part of the weekend.  However I am having some issues with it: I've been browsing DA for tutorials but none seem to have the issues I keep finding. For example when I draw on the tablet my lines come out crooked and shaky.  I understand that there should be no difference between drawing on pencil and paper and this but this does not seem to be the case with me. Also when I do start painting my works come out like an airbrushed mess with minimal detailing, how do you preserve detail? Do any of your happen to know what videos or sites that are help

I hope everyone had a good new year, mine was awesome:cough: big screen tv.  I actually haven't been drawing much lately as I have been busy with work, now that I have a new better paying job, laziness ( curse you procrastination), paying for school, getting rid of my CC's, and recently learning a new program for my classes. I'm trying to learn Macromedia 8 and Dreamweaver CS3.  Although I think they will be pretty much useless since, my instructor informed me that we won't be doing anything in flash this semester. *sighs* I'm starting to wonder weather I am in the right field of work.  Most of my classes are HEAVY graphic designers, needles

I am getting read to work for a company as a graphic artist but as a "freelance." However I don't know what to charge per day.  I've looked on various sites but nothing to give me an ideal price range.  What do you guys charge per day if you do freelance graphics or artwork in general? Thanks
